Glen Beich dam-Rob Roy Way (Killin)

1 mile or so

START – Track leading to the Glen Beich dam (roughly a third of a mile before the dam). Look out for a ‘dam structure’ on the right. This is where we crossed.
Here the post how to get to the start from St Fillans.

Not suitable for bikes! To do after a dry spell because it could be boggy. Lovely to be able to link the two tracks.
Part of a great walk to do from St Fillans to Killin leaving a car at both ends (10 miles or so).

Rob Roy Way (Lochan Breaclaich)-Glen Beich dam

1 mile or so

START – Rob Roy Way track between Lochan Breaclaich and Lochan a’Chaorainn near Killin. Go past Lochan Breaclaich to reach the highest point of the Rob Roy Way, then go down a very short distance and you can cross through heather towards the Glen Beich dam.
Here the post to get there from Killin.

To do after a dry spell, wasn’t too boggy today (August).
The Glen Beich dam is roughly a third of a mile away.
Part of a great walk to do from Killin to St Fillans leaving a car at both ends (10 miles or so). Might be easier to walk it from St Fillans as the Rob Roy Way is clearly visible from the ‘dam structure’.

Lochearnhead-St Fillans cycle path (update July 2023)

7 miles

START – Lochearnhead Village Hall.

Good sections followed by not so good ones. Great new track just completed. Better than it was 3 years ago.
Lovely path for walkers (can be quite boggy towards St Fillans after heavy rain).
* Easy to follow the wrong track here. There is another track right ahead going to houses. The right track is the first one going uphill on the left (not signposted).

St Fillans Viewpoint loop

3 miles

START – Four Seasons Hotel in St Fillans. Same start as previous post.

No need to climb very far in St Fillans to have gorgeous views!

St Fillans-Dunira-Loch Boltachan loop (walk)

10 miles

START – Station Road in St Fillans (beginning of the cycle path to Comrie).

WALK not to do in the winter with fading light!!
A LOOP of 2 halves. Pretty relaxed up to the bothy, challenging after that (just follow the burn).
