Around 5 miles

START – Metal gate on Sheriffmuir Road, near Dunblane and Bridge of Allan. Parking spaces on the left of the bridge.

After 40 minutes uphill…
Took left path down.
The Lossburn Reservoir in the distance.
Right narrow path here to explore.
Stopped here.

Stunning scenery!
A couple of walkers told me that the track eventually stops, is a dead end. Didn’t go until the end as it is very remote on your own. Not a smooth track, full of stones.
Noticed a couple of narrow paths on the way (on the left) that go apparently to Colsnaur Hill. There were also a couple on the right leading towards the track to Menstrie (I assume).
Will come back to explore further.
A must on a sunny day!

Darn walk loop (walk)

5 miles

START – Junction between Glen Road and Sheriffmuir Road, near Dunblane.

Bridge of Allan.
Look out for sign on the right.
Golf course.
Dunblane (opposite Police Station).

DARN PATH was very boggy, but gave lovely access to the water. Missed a path behind the golf course that leads back to the start of the walk. Had to walk back from opposite Dunblane’s police station.

Dumyat Hill loop (walk)

Around 4.5 miles

START – Dumyat car park on Sheriffmuir Road, near Bridge of Allan and Dunblane.

Dumyat car park.
Walking down on the other side.
Lossburn Reservoir in the distance.
Towards track to Lossburn Reservoir.
Left path for the reservoir.
Lossburn Reservoir.
Path alongside reservoir.
Track leads to Sheriffmuir Road.
Back to car park.

GREAT LOOP TO DO!
UPHILL to DUMYAT was busy, downhill to the reservoir very quiet. Lovely contrast!

Cocksburn Reservoir (walk)

4 miles approx.

START – Blairforkie Drive in Bridge of Allan.
Plenty of parking spaces around the railway station, nearly opposite.

Follow Bridge of Allan Golf Club (right).
Going past the golf course.
At junction, left (no through road).
Path on the right.
Straight on.
Cocksburn reservoir.
Path on the left of reservoir.
Left path towards Dumyat Hill.
Dumyat Hill car park.
Whitehill walk.
Left to Pendreich car park.
Pendreich car park.
Sheriffmuir Road (back to start).

LOVELY reservoir.
WILL come back to walk to the summit of Dumyat.
